I don't know whether I hang my head in shame or hold it high with pride when I say that Steven and I woke our kids up out of their warm beds at 10:30pm to build a snowman! in my defence - Darren prayed for snow before he went to sleep and I was afraid of it not being there in the morning! anyway - Happy New Year to you all. liza PS I KNOW OUR SNOWMAN LOOKS WEIRD BUT WE HAD NO OTHER VEG! | This month is Action Cancer 'breast cancer awareness month' - it is this time of year that I begin to think about how glad I am to have my mum in my life. 8 years ago my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer - I will never forget the day when we found out and I will never forget the day when my mum got the all clear. when we were told about my mum's cancer - I was devastated, I could not understand or comprehend what was going on, I spent my days in worry and my nights in tears. However, after my mum's operation she got the all clear - that news was the BEST thing ever - I was so happy I cried tears of joy and relief. The work of Action Cancer is so important - my mum was able to go to the Action Cancer clinic and get a mammogram - (she didn't need to wait to be referred by her doctor) - without Action Cancer's services my mum's cancer may not have been caught so early and the outcome may not have been as happy without their help - therefore this month as you see lots of merchandice with the 'think pink' logo - remember the families that Action Cancer have helped and if you can spare a few pounds on a badge, t-shirt (or wellies!) then all the better! | | |

| We all climbed Rocky mountain yesterday - a bit harder that Hen mountain. We all took stones from the foot of the mountain to the top! the kids loved it!    | | |
| we have been very busy over the summer... So far we have had a summer packed with outdoor pursuits!     I am amazed how good my two kids are at outdoor activities... so far we have climbed Slemish mountian and Hen mountain and we are going to climb Rocky before we go back to school! check out team osborne on top of slemish and hen mountain!  
we have also been fishing and are going camping later this month - am knackered! also - we have started taking part in the orienteering events ran by Lagan Vally Orienteers - They are brilliant! the kids (and us) are really into them - tonight we did the orienteering in lady dixon park. I keep forgetting my camera - but will have pictures sometime i am sure. It was also Darrens Birthday yesterday - we had a great time and he recieved loads of presents - here is my favourite...
